Wheel Throwing Pottery Classes

Wheel Throwing Pottery Classes

We invite you to come down to the potter’s house, or reserve your wheel at our studio in Toccoa.

Classes are offered on a week-to-week basis from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m., or 5 – 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, with no long-term commitment required on your part.

We do recommend at least a 6 week commitment to help you become familiar with the wheel and with the processes of the ceramic arts. It will take multiple weeks to create, trim, and glaze your wares, so if you wish to create pieces of your own, commit to a multiple-lesson series. $35 per week tuition includes 3 hours of personalized training. In a 6 week series, your tuition will include 25 pounds of clay, use of tools, instruction, and all glazing and firing. We promise that you will produce useful and beautiful works of art during even your first series! Gift certificates available! What are you waiting for? At $35 per session, go ceramic…it’s cheaper than therapy!
